The Public Relations Committee shall keep the membership of the congregation and the community informed about the ministries of the congregations.
The Public Relations Committee shall:
- Present a Christian image to the community, which will reflect favorably upon the work of Jesus Christ and of the congregation as His instrument.
- Represent the congregation in community activities and keep the congregation informed of social, political, and economic developments within the community.
- Be concerned, together with other appropriate Boards, with the congregation's role in the community and develop useful means of becoming a better servant to the community.
- Work with other churches to improve the unified Christian image to the community and to implement the church's Mission.
- Encourage members of the congregation to support the work of the church through trusts, bequests, and memorials.
- Maintain the church bulletin boards indoors and outdoors and recommend appropriate messages and themes for publication.
- Publicize the work of the congregation in the various news media and publications of the community and the Ohio District.
- Consist of 3 or more communicant members appointed by the President of the congregation for a one year term of office. The President may re-appoint a member to serve additional terms.
- Meet as often as necessary to fulfill its responsibilities.
- Elect a Secretary to keep a record of the committee's activities and report periodically to the Board of Witness and Outreach.
- Establish job descriptions and responsibilities for each member of the committee.
- Submit an annual budget to the Board of Witness and Outreach.
